ABA Development — A nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with autism and similar conditions.

ArtsAccess — A program that allows low-income residents to reserve up to four free tickets for certain plays and exhibitions at local theaters and museums.

Books from Birth — A program that provides a free book every month to children from birth through age 5 (available to all income levels).

BRIDGES — A nonprofit that provides opportunities for young people to find their voice through unique experiential learning activities that are adventurous, relational, and transformative. The organization offers one-time workshops, yearlong programs, and summer conferences and internships.

Child Care Aware — A resource that helps families learn more about the elements of quality child care and how to locate programs in their communities.

Child Care Services  This Tennessee Department of Human Services site offers information about different child care providers.

Home Schooling in Tennessee — Read about the Tennessee Home School law and other information about home schooling.

Internet Essentials — low-cost Internet access and computer equipment for qualifying families from Comcast.

Job Corps — a free education and training program that helps young people (at least 16 years of age) learn a career, earn a high school diploma or GED, and find and keep a good job.

Literacy Mid-South — a great resource for adult learning programs

Memphis Area Homeschooling Resources — Curated by the East Memphis Moms website, this list includes information about various homeschooling groups in Shelby County.

Memphis Public Library — Learn about the child, teen, adult, and career/job services that the library provides and gain access to various databases and other research-related resources.

Memphis School Guide — a directory of all schools (public and private) in Shelby County, Tennessee. A resource provided by Memphis Education Fund.

Parent Support Warm Line — a free phone line administered by professionals at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital that offers parenting advice and resources to Shelby County residents. The line is available Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and can be reached at 844-UPP-WARM (844-877-9276).

Team Autism Memphis — an outpatient clinic supporting families while providing services for autism and related disorders.

The Urban Child Institute — this Memphis-based nonprofit provides a wealth of information specifically for parents of kids under age 3.

Understood.org — a free, online resource for parents of children with learning and attention issues.
