Back-to-school chat with students

What’s your favorite color? Orange and silver.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A mechanic, to fix cars.
What’s your favorite animal, and why? Giraffe because I like to feed them.

What do you like most about GSL? I like going to my specials like technology and science.
What’s your favorite subject? My favorite subject is science because we learn new stuff about animals and habitats.
Tell us something you’re good at. I'm really good at AR (accelerated reader) tests and reading.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a contractor to build buildings and a nurse.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends? I like to go museums and visit my Mimi.

What do you like most about De La Salle? I like the clubs on Fridays for students with good conduct reports. 
What’s your favorite subject? I like reading and language arts. (His mom says he reads on seventh-grade level.)
Tell me about a favorite teacher you’ve had. Mrs. Brereton is my favorite teacher. She has fun activities and fun ideas to help us learn. 
What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a train engineer. 
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends? My favorite activity any day is Taekwondo. (He has been training for two years and expects to get his black belt soon.)

What do you like most so far about being in the Upper School at MUS? The ability to do my homework and study during the school day due to additional freedom I have in my schedule.
Tell us about a favorite teacher you have had at MUS. My favorite teacher is Mr. Ray. He teaches history and is an excellent teacher. He is fair and pushes his students to excel.
What activities are you involved in outside of class? I play football—left guard and defensive tackle. I am a member of the varsity wrestling team. I earned my letterman jacket for wrestling last year.

What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends? Sleep

What do you like most about MUS so far? The freedom and ability to make more decisions on my own.
What’s your favorite subject? Math
What activities are you involved in outside of class? I am playing on the seventh-grade football team—defensive tackle, nose guard, and right guard. I plan to wrestle in the fall.

What do you want to be when you grow up? A chef like what my mom is going to college for, and a dad.
