Where MOST Makes a Difference: Cord'ai Green's Full-Ride Success Story

One conversation changed everything for Cord'ai Green. While participating in the Youth Caddy Program at Memphis Country Club, he learned about Christian Brothers High School and the MOST Scholarship program that would make it possible for him to attend. Previously, Cord'ai was a student at Binghampton Christian Academy and was able to attend Christian Brothers with the support of MOST. He is now a senior and a recipient of a full-ride college scholarship through the Evans Scholars Foundation Youth Caddy Program.

"Receiving a MOST scholarship meant everything to my family," he said. "It took away a financial burden and allowed me to focus on becoming who I wanted to be."

Over the years, Cord'ai formed strong bonds with teachers and coaches who challenged him to grow both in and out of the classroom. Coaches Allen and Cannon, in particular, made a lasting impact by encouraging him to try new positions on the football team and take on leadership roles. Their consistent guidance gave Cord'ai the confidence to run for the Brothers Leadership Council, a student-led group that plans school-wide events. Being elected by his peers was a moment he will never forget.

After four years in the Youth Caddy Program and completing 120 loops, Cord'ai applied for the Evans Scholars Scholarship. Following essays and interviews, a FedEx package finally arrived with the incredible news that his college education would be fully funded.

"That's four years of college paid for," he said. "That is something that not a lot of people will ever get the opportunity to receive, and the moment was even more meaningful because my brother received the same scholarship two years earlier!"

Looking ahead, Cord'ai plans to major in marketing. Growing up in a business-minded family showed him how talent alone isn't always enough. He knows that understanding branding, marketing, and business strategy can make all the difference. His ultimate goal is to return to Memphis, start his own business, and build generational wealth to pay it forward.

"Go get what you want," he said when asked for advice to younger students. "Everything you want in life is up for grabs. The only thing stopping you is yourself."

Cord'ai's story is a testament to what's possible when opportunity, determination, and community support come together. With the generosity of our donors, MOST is able to transform the lives of students like Cord'ai.
