Student Stories

Over 90% of students who graduate from high school as a MOST Scholar go on to college.

Nadia Winston

"Growing up within a single parent home was not always easy, but I always knew that excelling academically was my golden key to success. My mother was firmly dedicated to giving my brother and me the best education that life had to offer. She understood that education equated to opportunity, and that opportunity yielded hope for a greater tomorrow. When she discovered the MOST Scholarship Program, her prayers were finally answered.  She could finally have assistance in giving my brother and me the education that would yield that opportunity for a greater tomorrow."

-Nadia Winston, 2005 Graduate of Harding Academy, 2010 Graduate of Rhodes College, entering Meharry Medical College in the fall of 2011

"Knowledge is power. On behalf of every student that has been given the opportunity to gain this power, I would like to say thank you to each donor.  Please know that your financial support has the potential to change lives.  In my case, it is allowing me to teach English in Thailand after I graduate and continue on to graduate school.  Because I know how valuable financial support can be for a student, I long for the day when I can say that I helped a child reach his dream.  May the Lord continue to bless you and keep you as you make a difference in the lives of students in Memphis."

-Britney Thornton, 2007 Graduate of Harding Academy, 2011 Graduate of Baylor University
