Eligibility Guidelines
Eligibility for MOST is based on the student's age and the family's finances.
Age Eligibility
Students eligible to apply for MOST typically include those entering Pre-K3, Pre-K4, kindergarten or 1st grade*. MOST also accepts applications for students aged 3-18 who have special needs and will be using the scholarship at a school that specifically addresses those needs. After a student is accepted, they can remain on the program through the eighth grade assuming the family is still financially eligible. After the eighth grade, the student can apply for the merit-based MOST High School Scholars Program.
Financial Eligibility
Financial eligibility is based on a family's size and total household income. Please see "How does MOST calculate household income?" on the Application FAQs page for details on what counts toward total income, then check our Eligibility Scale to see if your family qualifies.
