How MOST Awards Scholarships and Provides Tuition Assistance
For information on the 2010-2011 school year, please visit the Application page.
Students eligible to apply for a MOST scholarship include those who will be entering Pre-K3, Pre-K4, kindergarten, or first grade during the upcoming school year. Applications for older students are accepted only for those students with documented disabilities who will be attending schools that have programs catering to their special needs.
Qualification for MOST scholarships is based on financial need. Depending on the family's income (see eligibility scale), scholarships can provide up to 75% of private school tuition (up to a maximum of $1,500 per elementary-age child for a single year). The scholarship continues through eighth grade as long as the family remains financially eligible and is in good standing with the school. MOST Scholars have the opportunity to apply for a MOST High School Scholarship during second semester of 8th grade. The High School Scholarship is based on student merit as well as the family's financial need, and comes with an increased annual award of $1,800.
Parents are responsible for paying the balance of the tuition costs or applying for other assistance. In accepting a scholarship, parents promise to ensure their child's attendance at school and to keep their tuition payments current.
