Special note regarding the 2010-2011 school year: MOST will not be accepting applications for any new students for the 2010-2011 school year. This includes siblings of current students and students who are on the wait list from the 2009-2010 school year. We remain committed to the current MOST Scholars who will still meet the eligibility criteria for a scholarship, and we will stay focused on them at this time.

Please check the MOST website or call our office in early February 2011 to learn the status of new applications for the 2011-2012 school year. We will not have an answer regarding those applications before that time.

NOTE: Applications for first-time applicants are never mailed or posted on the website. They may only be received by attending a MOST-sponsored Information Meeting. Because MOST is not accepting applications for new students for the 2010-2011 school year, there will be no such meetings in 2010.

Some things to consider before seeking a MOST scholarship:

  • Eligibility for scholarships is based on family size and income. If your family makes more than the amount listed on the far right side for your family size on the eligibility chart, you will not qualify for a scholarship, so need not apply.
  • MOST gives only partial scholarships. Scholarship amounts are based on your family income, the tuition of the school you choose to attend, and the amount of any additional financial aid you receive. The maximum a child in 8th grade or below can receive for one school year is $1,500, and high schoolers can receive up to $1,800. The rest of your tuition, plus any other fees (activities, books, uniforms, after-care, etc.) must be paid by the family or with other scholarships.
  • Stability is important in a child's education. The most common reason families have for dropping out of the MOST program is that they can't afford to continue tuition payments at their private school. Please seriously evaluate your financial situation and determine whether it is feasible to make private schooling a long-term commitment for your family.
