Helping Give Children Educational
Opportunities Since 1998

MOST is the only privately funded school-choice program in Memphis, in Tennessee or in the Mid-South. It was founded in 1998 by a group of local business leaders who believe that low-income families should be able to provide the most appropriate schooling for their children, just as more affluent families can.

Thanks to contributions of over $14 million from individuals, corporations, and foundations, MOST has served more than 2,600 children.  In addition to our many local donors, MOST is awarded matching funds from the Children's Scholarship Fund (CSF), an organization in New York with a similar mission that funds thousands of scholarships across the United States.
